I will not 'sugar coat' anybody's review and even if you are an online friend of mine, I will still give you my honest opinion and advice.
What I will be reviewing:
Here are the three key things I will review:
1. Your layout - How visually appealing it is, if it's too dull or to vibrant. If it's too big or too small. I'll review how it's positioned, it's overall appearance... That kinda stuff.
2. Your content - Your website doesn't have to have any resources, freebies or tutorals etc. although I would like to see some sort of 'visitor section', it is not necessary. Things I look for in your content, is how organized your stuff is, how well it's written, how original some of your things are.
3. The technicalities - I'll try to spot any spelling and grammatical mistakes, broken links and I'll even try to help you with any coding problems I spot. I'm not that much of an expert in the field of coding but if your website is cross-browser compatible then that is fantastic because that's really what I'll be mostly looking at.
Rating system
At the end of each review, I'll give the website a rating, this is out of 5 stars. Here is the general meaning of each rating you can get:
- Critically Crap Condition
Sorry to say, but your website is apalling, you might not even deserve a 'star'. There are a tremendous amount of problems that need sorting out fast!! Fix most of the problems and you can be ensured that your website will be miles better. Good luck.
- Poor Quality
Your site was boring to visit. A number of problems are evident, some of them may take time to amend but will most definately be worth it, don't give up hope!
- Good
Your websites negatives are noticeably outwieghed by the positives, so it would seem you are on the right track. Carry on developing your website and sort out the few major probelms that have been addressed. You have an 'okay' site, it's not impressive yet, but still has potential.
- Super
You have a website you can hold your head up high with. Your site is well presented and well organised. I enjoyed reviewing it. Take care with the silly errors you made, clearing up the issues will give your site a shiney gloss. Well done.
- Amazingly Outstanding
A very impressive website that I envy, I would definately recommend to others. You have some great stuff, a combination of a beautiful layout and high standard content. I can tell you absolutely cherish your website. You have only a few tiny issues or maybe none at all. Keep up the fantastic work.
